Surgical Technician | Burlington, MA

Position Overview

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Surgical Technician for a 13-week travel assignment in Burlington, Massachusetts. This opportunity is ideal for a highly skilled Surgical Tech with extensive large hospital experience and the ability to independently support complex surgical procedures, including transplant, cardiac, and vascular cases.

Assignment Details

• Position: Surgical Technician
• Location: Burlington, MA
• Openings: 1
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Start Date: 09/07/2026
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM

Call Requirements:

• Approximately 3 call shifts per month
• Call may include:
  • 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
  • 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM
• Weekend call consists of one 12-hour shift on either Saturday or Sunday

Requirements

Qualified candidates must possess:

• NBSTSA Certification (Required)
• Current BLS Certification
• Minimum of 3 years of Surgical Tech experience
  • 4 to 5 years strongly preferred
• Recent large hospital experience required
• Extensive multi-specialty surgical experience
• Ability to independently scrub:
  • Transplant procedures
  • Cardiac cases
  • Vascular cases
• Epic EMR experience required
• Flu vaccination required prior to start
• Travel candidates only
  • Local candidates will not be considered

Compensation

Travel Package

• Up to $2,258/week
• Includes taxable hourly wages and eligible housing and meal stipends

Compensation is based on qualifications, experience, and applicable regulations.

The Surgical Technician/Tissue Processing Technician is responsible for the sterilization of surgical equipment, arrange surgical equipment and adjust medical tools to ensure that the surgical devices are functioning properly.

Minimum Requirements:

• Surgical Technologist certification as applicable per state and/or client requirement
• One year experience as a Surgical Technician preferred (Tissue Processing Technologist – only) 
• Degree in biology related field which includes a degree / certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice 
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
• Must be at least 18 years of age
