MRI Technologist Opportunity – Lewes, DE
Direct Hire | Full-Time | 12-Hour Shifts

Shift Details
· 12-hour shifts
· Guaranteed hours: 40 per week
· Regular hours: 36 per week
· On-call responsibilities included
· Block scheduling as assigned
Compensation & Benefits
· Salary range: $59,585.76 – $92,364.48 annually
· Hourly rate: $31.83 – $49.34

Key Responsibilities
· Review consultation requests and verify special instructions from ordering physicians
· Consult with radiologists or referring physician offices as needed
· Greet patients professionally, confirm identification, and explain MRI procedures to patients and families
· Demonstrate full working knowledge of MRI equipment and department operations
· Prepare and administer contrast media and review all required documentation
· Perform MRI examinations according to established protocols
· Evaluate images for technical quality and proper anatomical positioning
· Maintain daily activity logs and accurate patient documentation
· Order, track, scan, and copy exams and patient records as requested
· Coordinate scheduling with other departments to ensure efficient patient flow
· Assist scheduling staff with non-routine exam decisions
· Maintain proper inventory, storage, and ordering of MRI supplies
· Monitor supply shortages and special-order items
· Conduct preventive safety inspections and quality assurance testing in compliance with ACR regulations
· Identify equipment or workflow issues and report concerns to leadership
· Recognize emergency situations and initiate appropriate response, including CPR or first aid
· Complete follow-up documentation related to contrast reactions, extravasations, and safety tracking tools
· Maintain professional telephone etiquette and communication standards
Requirements
· ARRT Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT-MR) (Required)
· BLS Certification (Required)
· Associate’s Degree in a related field (Required)
· Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience preferred
· Ability to lift patients up to 50 lbs
· Completion of Point of Care Testing training during department orientation
· Strong understanding of MRI safety standards and ACR regulations
