Radiologic Technologist Opportunity – Rehoboth, DE
Direct Hire | Part-Time | Variable Shifts
An acute-care surgical hospital in Rehoboth, DE is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for a permanent, part-time position. This role offers variable shifts, strong compensation, and a full benefits package within a fast-paced radiology environment.
Position Overview

Shift Details
· 8-hour variable shifts
· Regular scheduled hours: approximately 24–32 hours per week
· May include evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call coverage as needed
Compensation & Benefits
· Salary range: $35,268.48 – $54,662.40 annually
· Hourly rate: $28.26 – $43.80

Key Responsibilities
· Perform radiographic procedures in accordance with professional and departmental standards
· Demonstrate knowledge of radiologic principles, anatomy, and pathology to produce optimal diagnostic images
· Utilize appropriate positioning and technique to ensure high-quality examinations
· Communicate effectively with patients to obtain clinical history and informed consent
· Explain procedures clearly to patients and families to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation
· Accurately identify patients and imaging documentation to prevent errors
· Track patients and imaging data in the Radiology Information System and correct discrepancies promptly
· Recognize clinical or emergent conditions that may affect imaging and take appropriate action
· Maintain radiation exposure within ALARA standards
· Utilize radiation protection measures, including shielding and collimation
· Ensure patient safety through proper monitoring, positioning, and use of equipment safeguards
· Operate imaging equipment according to manufacturer specifications
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
· Stock imaging rooms and remove expired or near-expiration supplies
· Report and document unsafe, unusual, or adverse conditions
· Assist with training and mentoring radiography students as required
· Participate in departmental and hospital performance improvement initiatives
· Stay current with technological advancements through continuing education
Requirements
· Delaware State Radiation License (Required)
· Active Delaware Radiologic Technologist License (Required)
· BLS Certification (Required)
· Associate’s Degree in a related field (Required)
· Minimum of 1 year of recent hospital radiology experience preferred
· Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call coverage
· Basic computer proficiency
· Strong understanding of radiation safety standards
