Registered Cytotechnologist – Opelika, Alabama
Direct Hire | Full-Time | First Shift
A leading healthcare organization in Opelika, Alabama is hiring a Registered Cytotechnologist for a permanent, full-time role in the Pathology Lab. This position provides the opportunity to work closely with pathologists to detect abnormal cell structures, maintain lab quality standards, and contribute to high-quality patient care. A $20,000 sign-on bonus is included.
Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
• Examine cells and specimens to detect evidence of disease or abnormality
• Prepare and submit slides for pathologist review
• Maintain accurate records and documentation per CAP/CLIA standards
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and quality protocols
• Collaborate with laboratory staff and pathologists to support efficient workflow
• Maintain productivity while adhering to quality and safety standards
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• B.S. degree in Health Science or meet CAP/CLIA standards for practicing cytotechnologist
• At least 1 year of experience in cytotechnology or equivalent
• CT (ASCP) Certification
Preferred Qualifications
• B.S. in Cytotechnology
• 1–3 years of experience in cytotechnology
• CT (ASCP) Certification
