Education & Experience Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing preferred
- NIHSS certification required within 6 months of employment.
- ACLS certification required within one year of employment.
- Current BLS through AHA or American Red Cross
- Successful completion of Telemetry Cardiac Rhythm Course
- Current valid Nebraska Registered Nurse (RN) License or valid compact multistate license.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Perform an initial and ongoing assessment to determine the assigned patient's ongoing nursing care needs
- Provide appropriate care specific to the age of the customer/patient
- Develop/review/revise and individualize the plan of care to address the patient's nursing care needs
- Implement interventions that are consistent with the established plan of care in a safe and appropriate manner
- Evaluate patient care to determine response to care/interventions
- Perform technical skills competently and independently to assure patient safety
