Director Imaging Services
UCHlth Memorial Hosp Central - Radiology Office Colorado Springs, CO
Pay: $144,955 - $231,795 / year. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
Position Summary
Based at UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central, this director role provides senior leadership and operational oversight for a large, multi-site imaging portfolio, supporting high-quality care across hospital-based and outpatient imaging locations. With over 350 FTE's and 7 direct reports across 4 hospital based and 6 outpatient imaging centers this role drives imaging operations and delivers measurable results, with clear accountability for execution, partnering with the System Director of Imaging Services to achieve operational excellence aligned with UCHealth's mission, values, and organizational objectives, and to shape high-performing imaging operations at scale.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee imaging operations across multiple hospital and outpatient sites, ensuring safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Drive consistency in workflows, staffing models, performance expectations, and regulatory compliance.
- Leverage analytics to optimize throughput, capacity utilization, equipment performance, and patient experience.
- Lead the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered imaging services while maintaining regulatory readiness and consistent performance standards across all sites.
- Expand imaging access and volume through service growth, capacity optimization, and strategic deployment of modalities and technology.
- Achieve financial and productivity targets through disciplined operating and capital budget management, expense control, and workflow efficiency.
- Build and sustain high-performing imaging teams while strengthening partnerships with radiologists, referring providers, and hospital and ambulatory leaders.
- Collaborate with system and regional leadership to evaluate new technologies, capital investments, and service line enhancements.
- Monitor financial performance, productivity, and expense management; implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure fiscal accountability while supporting long-term sustainability and growth.
- Lead, coach, and develop imaging managers and regional leadership teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- Master's degree required(Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field)
- State licensure if required by law
- Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experiencein imaging services or a closely related healthcare environment
- Radiologic Technologist (RT) - ARRT
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT)
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
- Demonstrated experience leading imaging services within a large, complex health system, with accountability for performance across multiple imaging sites or environments.
- Proven record of delivering measurable improvements in imaging access, throughput, quality, and financial performance, including sustained results across multiple modalities.
- Strong expertise in imaging capital planning and technology deployment, with experience optimizing utilization, asset lifecycle, and return on investment across advanced imaging modalities.
- Experience operating within a matrixed imaging governance model, partnering effectively with radiologists, physician leaders, and senior health system stakeholders.
Candidate Qualifications
The ideal candidate is an experienced imaging leader who has successfully led large, multi-site operations and partnered effectively within a matrixed health system. They are operationally and financially strong and bring a leadership style that inspires teams andtranslates strategy into sustained performance.
