Description
Location: UCHealth Estes Valley Medical Center, US:CO:Estes Park
Department: EVMC Laboratory
FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Days
Pay: $33.82 - $50.73 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
Summary:
Performs laboratory testing of patient specimens in one or more sections of the laboratory.
Responsibilities:
- Performs diagnostic/analytic testing of specimens. Interprets, documents and reports test results.
- Performs quality control testing, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Complies with good laboratory practice and regulatory requirements.
- Performs projects as assigned as well as serves as a resource to laboratory staff and other clinical staff as needed.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and graduate of an accredited Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist program.
- Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) by the American Medical Technologists (AMT) or as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or categorical ASCP certification in a laboratory specialty/sub-specialty as applicable to job responsibilities.
- Certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

The eastern gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park, Estes Park is a small town surrounded by towering peaks.
