Registered Nurse (RN) – NSRTC
Facility: New Sunrise Regional Treatment Center (NSRTC)
Location: 20 Mockingbird Drive, Pueblo of Acoma, NM 87034

Position Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing services in a 22-bed residential drug and alcohol treatment facility serving Native adolescent patients.
The RN supports the clinical treatment team by:
• Performing nursing assessments and obtaining patient histories.
• Developing, implementing, and evaluating nursing care plans.
• Administering medications and treatments under authorized provider orders.
• Monitoring patient conditions, vital signs, and other clinical indicators.
• Recognizing and responding to emergencies, adverse reactions, and life-threatening conditions.
• Documenting care timely and accurately in the medical record.
Work Schedule
• Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 40 hours per week.
• Days: Monday through Friday.
• Breaks: 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
• Holidays: Federal holidays excluded from regular schedule.
Minimum Qualifications
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Current, active, full, and unrestricted RN license from a U.S. state, DC, Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory.
Certifications
• Required: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Preferred: ACLS and PALS.
Key Responsibilities
• Use the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to deliver age-appropriate care.
• Communicate significant changes in patient condition to providers promptly.
• Coordinate patient care with the interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Provide patient and family education and document teaching.
• Assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as requested.
• Maintain competency with required medical equipment.
• Participate in treatment planning
