Position Summary
The Registered Nurse delivers comprehensive nursing care in a busy ambulatory clinic setting, serving as a clinical leader for the LPN and MA team members. The RN supports family practice providers, walk-in clinic patients, and the rotating Thursday late clinic, and may be assigned to the Tuesday To’Hajiilee Community School clinic. The RN performs and oversees immunizations, respiratory care, phlebotomy, and wound care while ensuring patient safety, quality of care, and full compliance with CBNHC and IHS standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, triage, and document findings in the EHR
• Administer immunizations across all patient age groups in accordance with CDC and IHS protocols
• Provide respiratory care, including nebulizer treatments, oxygen administration, and patient education
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection; ensure accurate labeling and chain of custody
• Deliver wound care services, including assessment, dressing changes, and patient/family education
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered; monitor and document patient response
• Support primary care provider appointments and walk-in clinic flow throughout the week
• Participate in the Thursday late clinic rotation (4:30 PM – 6:30 PM)
• Provide nursing support at the Tuesday school clinic on the To’Hajiilee Community School campus when assigned
