Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical – Topeka, KS 66606

Start Date: June 3, 2026

Location: Topeka, Kansas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15), with option for 36 or 48 hours per week. Weekend coverage required on a variable schedule. 36-hour orientation provided.

• 12-week travel assignment in a general medical unit caring for stable telemetry-monitored patients
• 31-room unit with 29 beds and daily census of 24 patients
• Patient population includes adults and geriatric patients with a variety of medical conditions
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Flexible scheduling options with 36 or 48-hour weekly assignments
• Remote telemetry monitoring for non-cardiac drip patients

Requirements:

• Valid Kansas or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Experience with 5-6:1 patient ratios preferred
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
• Willingness to float to like units as needed
• Proficiency in skills including IV management, telemetry monitoring, wound care, blood product administration, central/PICC line care, and isolation precautions
