Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Cardiothoracic ICU – Tyler, TX 75701

Start Date: June 1, 2026

Location: Tyler, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Patient ratio 1:2. Average daily census of 7 patients in a 10-bed unit. Float required to units of equal or lesser acuity, including cardiac stepdown.

• Epic documentation system for streamlined charting
• 36-hour orientation to ensure smooth transition
• One pre-approved time off period available during assignment

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Texas
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU or Cardiothoracic ICU experience required
• ECMO experience required; must demonstrate competency in ECMO care and nurse-driven protocols
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Experience with 1:2 patient ratios required
• Proficiency in Epic charting system required
• Skills required: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, multisystem organ failure management, intra-aortic balloon pump, post cardiac surgery care, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, arterial line management, central line and PICC line management, continuous IV sedation, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, ventilator management, and interpretation of ABGs
• Cannot reside in the following Texas counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris
