Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Neuro ICU – Tyler, TX 75701

Start Date: June 1, 2026

Location: Tyler, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Patient ratio 1:2. Float to ICU/IMC/Telemetry as needed. Every other weekend required.

Highlights:

• Specialized Neuro ICU with 16-bed capacity and average daily census of 14 patients
• 91-day travel assignment in a dynamic critical care environment
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Orientation provided with onsite module completion
• Experience with advanced neuro cases including post-craniotomy, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and CVA/acute stroke management
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Texas
• Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Patient ratio experience of 1:2 required
• Skills in blood product administration, ventilated patient care, central line management, ICP monitoring, external ventricular drains, lumbar drains, hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Geographic restriction: Candidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties are not eligible
