Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical – Albuquerque, NM 87102

Start Date: May 26, 2026

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour (06:30 - 19:00) with option for 36 or 48-hour weeks; 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio; 6 weekend shifts required within each 6-week period

• 13-week travel assignment on a 32-bed medical surgical unit utilizing Epic charting system
• Flexible scheduling with options for 36 or 48-hour work weeks; straight time paid up to 48 hours
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Manageable patient ratios of 1:6 across all shifts with floating limited to like units within scope
• First-time travelers accepted; 24-36 hours of onsite orientation provided
• Up to 4 days of requested time off may be auto-approved

Requirements:

• Active New Mexico or Compact RN license (pending license accepted if obtained prior to start date)
• Minimum 1 year of recent medical surgical nursing experience required
• BLS certification required; Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) preferred
• Experience with Epic charting system and 1:6 patient ratios preferred
• Proficiency in core med/surg skills including IV therapy, wound care, central line management, surgical drains, insulin administration, and isolation precautions
• Must reside outside 50-mile local radius; previous staff must wait 1 year before returning as traveler
