Job Opportunity – Physical Therapist, Acute Care – Amarillo, TX 79106

Start Date: June 1, 2026

Location: Amarillo, Texas

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (08:00 - 17:30); daily patient load of 10-12 patients with 80% productivity standards

Highlights:

• 450-bed acute care facility with average daily census of 360 patients across 7 floors
• Level III trauma center treating diverse patient populations including orthopedic, neurological, oncology, post-operative spinal and cervical cases, medical-surgical, and ICU patients
• Collaborative interdisciplinary team environment working alongside 8-10 physical therapists, 6-8 physical therapist assistants, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and case management
• Comprehensive acute care experience including medical, cardiac, and surgical ICU settings
• New graduates welcome to apply; travel experience not required
• 24-hour orientation provided with one approved time-off period available during assignment

Requirements:

• Texas Physical Therapy license (pending applications accepted)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience preferred; new graduates will be considered
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Adult and geriatric patient care experience
