Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Orange, CA 92868

Start Date: June 2, 2026

Location: Orange County, California

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2. Weekends may exceed every other to accommodate unit needs. Guaranteed hours with facility ability to call off once per two-week pay period.

• Very high-risk labor and delivery unit caring for complex pregnancy diagnoses including pre-eclampsia, multiples, fetal anomalies, IUFD, preterm labor, and diabetes
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and lift teams
• 72-hour orientation provided with free parking available
• Seasoned, experienced travelers sought for this advanced practice environment

Requirements:

• Active California RN license in hand prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers cannot be considered
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications required; AWHONN Advanced preferred (NCC EFM certification accepted in place of Intermediate AWHONN)
• Must be able to circulate for cesarean sections and perform sterile vaginal exams
• Experience in large hospital settings highly preferred
• Skills required: assist with high-risk and vaginal deliveries, circulate for C-sections, D&C, cervical cerclage, antihypertensives, insulin drips, magnesium sulfate therapy, recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, external fetal monitoring
• LA fire card within the last 30 days required
• Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
