Description
Job Opportunity – Inpatient Pharmacist – Lubbock, TX 79410
Start Date: June 8, 2026
Location: Lubbock, Texas
Schedule: Night shift, 7 days on/7 days off (20:00 - 06:30). Transition to day shift expected July/August 2026. Every other weekend required. Assignment duration through September 7, 2026, with potential extension through January 13, 2027 for FMLA coverage.

- Work at a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 181 beds serving neonatal through adolescent patient populations
- Unique 7-on/7-off scheduling provides extended time off between work blocks
- Epic charting system experience in a comprehensive children's hospital environment
- Opportunity to work with diverse clinical specialties including oncology, cardiology, infectious disease, and pediatric dosing

- 40 hours of paid orientation to ensure smooth onboarding
Requirements:
- Active Texas pharmacy license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- PharmD degree and RPh certification
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of hospital/inpatient pharmacy experience required (retail-only experience does not qualify)
- Some exposure to pediatric pharmacy required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Proficiency in sterile compounding, IV medications, Pyxis systems, and therapeutic medication monitoring
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Clean background check required; facility does not accept Nursys or background hits
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
