Job Opportunity – Occupational Therapist (Outpatient) – Napa, CA 94558

Start Date: June 1, 2026

Location: Northern California wine country region

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (primarily Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, with Friday ending at 4:30 PM). Ideal candidates will also provide weekend coverage on a rotating basis. Daily census of 10-12 patients in a hospital-based outpatient setting.

Highlights:

  • Hospital-based acute care outpatient occupational therapy position serving diverse patient populations including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
  • Opportunity to work in a skilled outpatient setting focusing on neuro, orthopedic/hand therapy, and some pediatric cases
  • Collaborative interdisciplinary support with physical therapy team
  • 13-week assignment (June 1 - August 31, 2026) with 40 hours of paid orientation
  • Epic charting system utilized for documentation
  • Flexibility may be available to work across both outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation settings

Requirements:

  • Valid California Occupational Therapy license (must be in hand prior to submission)
  • Minimum 1 year of occupational therapy experience required
  • Current BLS certification
  • Epic charting experience strongly preferred
  • Community hospital experience preferred
  • Proficiency in activities of daily living assessments, adaptive equipment evaluation, hand clinic procedures, splinting, upper extremity treatment, and various neurological and orthopedic conditions
  • Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
  • Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
  • Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
  • Willingness to float to affiliated nearby facilities as needed
