Job Opportunity – Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse – Anchorage, AK 99508

Start Date: June 22, 2026

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Schedule: 3x12 variable shifts (Days 07:00 - 19:30 or Nights 19:00 - 07:30), every other weekend required. Patient ratios 1:1 or 2:1. Guaranteed 60 hours per two-week period.

High-acuity Labor and Delivery unit at a Magnet-designated Level II trauma facility recognized as the best hospital in Alaska
Comprehensive unit with 10 OB triage rooms, 10 LDR rooms, 3 OR suites, and 4 PACU rooms supporting an average of 7 deliveries daily
Experience caring for high-risk antepartum patients, inductions, third trimester testing, and urgent triage cases
Robust interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
Epic charting system with 36-40 hours of orientation provided
Free parking and scrubs provided

Requirements:

Active Alaska RN license required for offer (pending licenses accepted for submission)
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, and AWHONN Advanced
Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declinations not accepted)
Availability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
