Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular Operating Room Technologist – Lubbock, TX 79410

Start Date: June 29, 2026

Location: Lubbock, Texas

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour (06:45 - 15:00), with on-call coverage during nights, weekends, and holidays. Expected patient ratio 1:3. 13-week assignment (91 days) at a 379-bed Level II Trauma Center.

Highlights:

  • Work in a comprehensive cardiovascular surgery program at a short-term acute care facility with 22 operating rooms
  • Engage in advanced cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular procedures including CABG, valve replacements, TAVR, TEVAR, and endovascular repairs
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team serving adult and geriatric patient populations
  • Epic charting system experience preferred
  • Comprehensive orientation provided with 8 hours of facility-specific training
  • Free employee parking available on-site

Requirements:

  • Current BLS, CST, NBSTSA, and NCCT certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of consecutive experience in cardiovascular surgery, specifically cardiothoracic and vascular procedures
  • Previous travel experience required; Level II Trauma Center experience required
  • Texas state license or Compact license required at time of submission
  • Proficiency in CVOR procedures including coronary artery bypass grafts, valve replacements, vascular repairs, and hybrid OR techniques
  • Strong knowledge of aseptic technique, instrument processing, sterilization/disinfection protocols, and specimen handling
  • Must provide 2 professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
  • Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
