Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse ICU – Athens, TX 75751

Start Date: July 27, 2026

Location: Athens, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Patient ratio 1:2 in a 10-bed intensive care unit. Weekend coverage required.

Highlights:

• 13-week travel assignment in a community hospital ICU setting
• Manageable patient ratios with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and phlebotomy
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations in a medical/surgical ICU environment
• Epic charting system utilized facility-wide
• 36-hour orientation provided with onsite module completion during orientation
• Pre-approved time off available (must be submitted at time of application)

Requirements:

• Active Texas RN license or compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; TNCC preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with 2:1 or 3:1 patient ratios
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Must complete core onboarding items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
• Geographic restrictions apply; candidates residing in certain local counties are not eligible
