Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, CVOR – Tyler, TX 75701
Start Date: June 15, 2026
Location: Tyler, Texas
Schedule: 4x10 hour day shifts (06:00 - 16:30), call coverage required, 91-day assignment
Highlights:
- Cardiovascular Operating Room circulating nurse position with scrubbing ability preferred but not required
- Work with cardiothoracic surgery cases including CABG, valve replacements, and TAVR procedures
- Two-room cardiovascular operating suite with comprehensive cardiac surgical capabilities
- First-time travelers accepted with 1-3 years of cardiothoracic surgery experience
- Epic charting system experience preferred
- 36-hour orientation provided
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse license (Texas or Compact license required prior to submission)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with 1-3 years in cardiothoracic surgery required
- ACLS and BLS certifications required; CNOR certification preferred
- Competencies in CVOR procedures, coronary artery bypass graft, valve replacements, IABP, and code response
- Experience with administration of blood products, specimen handling, and peripheral IV placement
- Must complete onboarding requirements within 48 hours of contract signing
- Cannot reside in the following Texas counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris
