Description

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Tyler, TX 75701

Start Date: June 15, 2026

Location: Tyler, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM). Patient ratios include Labor 1:2, Antepartum 1:3, and Mother/Baby 1:3. Weekend coverage required (6 weekends per contract; for day shifts Saturday and Sunday, for night shifts Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). One pre-approved time off period available.

Highlights:

91-day travel assignment in a busy labor and delivery unit with LDRP model
Daily census of 14 patients with 100-200 facility births per month
Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and radiology
Epic charting system utilized throughout the unit
Orientation includes 24 hours of onsite training with completion of required modules
Patient care includes neonates and adults with exposure to high-risk deliveries and cesarean sections

Requirements:

Active Texas or Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of application)
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
Previous travel nursing experience required
Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN (Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced levels)
Epic charting system experience required
Previous charge experience preferred; Trauma Level I experience preferred
Must not reside in the following Texas counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris
Must complete core items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
