Job Opportunity – Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Orange, CA 92868

Start Date: June 30, 2026

Location: Orange, California

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5x8-hour shifts (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM). No weekends or holidays required. Orientation shifts typically 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM for the first two weeks. Daily census of 5-10 patients with up to 15 PET scans per day. Optional call available Monday through Friday 4:30 AM - 10:00 PM with 60-minute response time for interested candidates.

  • Work at a 426-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital using Epic charting system
  • Perform general nuclear medicine studies, Lexi scans, and PET/CT imaging with on-site training provided for PET procedures
  • Monday through Friday schedule with no weekend or holiday coverage requirements at this outpatient center
  • Optional call shifts available for additional income opportunities but not required
  • Reduced non-billable orientation with streamlined onboarding process

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience required
  • Previous travel experience required; candidates with at least 2 years of experience may be considered
  • Active California state license (must be in hand prior to submission)
  • NMTCB certification or ARRT (N) required; ARRT (R) accepted
  • Current BLS certification
  • PET scan experience preferred but willing to train qualified candidates on-site
  • Skills required include bone, brain, renal, liver imaging, perfusion studies, ventilation/perfusion scans, and IV initiation/maintenance
  • Cardiac nuclear medicine experience preferred, especially for candidates interested in call shifts
  • LA fire card required within 30 days
  • Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
