Job Opportunity – Mammography Technologist – Santa Monica, CA 90404

Start Date: June 22, 2026

Location: Santa Monica, California – beachside acute care facility

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (08:00 - 16:00), with every other Saturday rotation (08:00 - 12:00). Assignment duration is 91 days (approximately 13 weeks).

Highlights:

• Work at a 266-bed acute care hospital in a premier beachside location
• Breast Center environment performing screening and diagnostic mammograms with daily caseload of 30+ patients
• Utilize Epic charting system and state-of-the-art digital and 3D mammography equipment
• Serve adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations in a two-room facility
• First-time travelers welcome with minimum one year of experience
• Local candidates accepted for this travel assignment

Requirements:

• Active California state license (must be in hand prior to start)
• ARRT (R) and ARRT (M) certification required
• BLS and CRT (M) certifications current
• Minimum one year of mammography experience
• Documentation of 40 hours initial mammography training and 25 supervised mammography studies
• Minimum 200 mammograms performed within the last 24 months
• 15 continuing education units in mammography within the last 36 months
• 8 hours digital mammography training and 8 hours 3D mammography training
• 3 CEUs in stereotactic procedures
• LA County fire card (obtained within 30 days prior to start)
• Skills in 3D mammography, diagnostic and screening mammograms, digital mammography, PACS systems
• Preferred: Hologic equipment experience, needle localization, stereotactic biopsy, weekly QA/QC
