Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Operating Room – Anchorage, AK 99508
Start Date: June 15, 2026
Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Schedule: 3x12-hour day shifts; shift times vary between 06:45-19:15 or 09:00-21:30. Weekend coverage required. On-call limited to coverage for call-offs only. Guaranteed 60 hours per 2-week period.

- 407-bed acute care hospital with 18 operating rooms and Epic charting system
- Diverse surgical case mix including trauma, orthopedic/spine, neurosurgery, bariatrics, gynecology, ENT, urology, and vascular procedures
- Advanced surgical technology including da Vinci Xi Robot, Stealth system, and Mazor Robot Spine
- 40-hour paid orientation with interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, radiology, lift teams, and interpretation services
- Free parking provided
Requirements:
- Active Alaska RN license (must be in hand for immediate consideration; pending licenses accepted but license required before start)
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- BLS certification required; ACLS and CNOR preferred
- Epic charting system experience required
- Level II Trauma experience required; Level I Trauma experience preferred
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
- Ability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
- Hepatitis B vaccine required (titers or declination not accepted)
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
- Willingness to float to similar units within scope as needed
