Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Anchorage, AK 99508

Start Date: June 29, 2026

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30), every other weekend required. Patient ratios typically 1:1 or 2:1. Guaranteed 60 hours per 2-week period. This is a 13-week travel assignment.

High-acuity Labor and Delivery unit at a Magnet-designated Level II Trauma facility recognized as the best hospital in Alaska
Average 7 deliveries daily with up to 14 patients including inductions and high-risk antepartum cases
Modern unit features 10 OB Triage rooms, 10 LDR rooms, 3 OR suites, and 4 PACU rooms
Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
Epic charting system with 36-40 hours of paid orientation
Opportunity for charge nurse training for qualified candidates

Requirements:

Active Alaska RN license required in hand for immediate consideration
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced
Epic charting experience preferred
Charge experience preferred or willingness to train as charge nurse
Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declination not accepted)
Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
Ability to float to similar units within scope as needed
