Job Opportunity – Surgical Technologist – Santa Rosa, CA 95405
Start Date: June 29, 2026
Location: Santa Rosa, California
Schedule: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (07:00 - 17:00). Variable shift start times may include 7:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, or 3:00 PM. Weekend work required per unit needs. Call coverage required. Occasional night shift coverage may be needed. 13-week assignment duration.
Highlights:
- Acute care trauma facility with 8 operating rooms and daily census of approximately 25 cases
- Diverse surgical specialties including orthopedics, neurosurgery, vascular, robotics, general surgery, GU, and GYN procedures
- Trauma Level I experience utilized daily with exposure to complex orthopedic trauma and total joint procedures
- Advanced technology environment featuring daVinci Xi robotic system, Stealth Navigation Station, microscope, and laparoscopic equipment
- 40 hours of paid orientation to ensure successful integration into the surgical team
- Float opportunities to nearby affiliate facilities for varied experience
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of surgical tech experience required; 5 years preferred
- Previous travel assignment experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
- Trauma Level I experience is required (hard stop requirement)
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Active California state surgical tech license preferred; pending licenses accepted
- Current BLS certification required
- CST and NBSTSA certifications required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Demonstrated proficiency in orthopedics, neurosurgery, vascular surgery, robotics, and trauma (hard stop requirements)
- Experience with case cart, crash cart, and scrubbing required
- Craniotomy and airway management experience preferred
- Competency with microscope, laparoscopic camera/tower equipment, and arthroscope equipment required
- Willingness to float to affiliate facilities and work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
- Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
- Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
