Description
Job Opportunity – Inpatient Pharmacist – Hood River, OR 97031
Start Date: June 22, 2026
Location: Hood River, Oregon
Schedule: Block scheduling with day shifts (07:00 - 17:00) and night shifts (22:00 - 08:00), 4x10-hour shifts. Weekend coverage required with hours from 07:30 - 17:00. On-call overnight hours for patient care requiring a pharmacist. Expected patient ratio of 1 pharmacist to 25 patients.
Highlights:
- 8-week assignment at a Critical Access and Level III Trauma Center with 25 staffed beds
- Reduced non-billable orientation – 0 hours versus standard 40 hours
- Daily census of approximately 20 patients with interdisciplinary team support
- Pharmacy services across multiple units including Med Surg, Labor and Delivery, Outpatient Infusion, and Emergency Department
- Epic charting system utilized throughout the facility
- Teaching hospital environment with comprehensive pharmacy support
Requirements:
- Active Oregon Pharmacist License (may submit with pending license)
- Chemo/Hazardous Drug certification required
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient/acute care pharmacy experience
- Epic charting system experience preferred
- Experience with Pyxis and home health infusion preferred
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
- Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required for this assignment
- Must reside outside 50-mile radius from facility or accepted at adjusted rate
