Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Santa Monica, CA 90404

Start Date: June 29, 2026

Location: Coastal Southern California

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Every other weekend required. May float to postpartum as needed. Facility may call off once per two-week pay period.

Highlights:

• Acute care facility with 266 staffed beds in a desirable beachside location
• Approximately 200 deliveries per month with 4 antepartum rooms, 9 labor/high-risk rooms, and 3 triage rooms
• No on-call requirement; float to postpartum only when census requires
• Epic charting system with 40 hours of orientation provided
• Interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services
• 91-day assignment with potential for extension after 3-month break

Requirements:

• Active California RN license (must be in hand prior to submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Required certifications: AWHONN Advanced (or NCC EFM), ACLS, BLS, NRP, FHM (all AHA-certified)
• Epic charting experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• LA fire card within the last 30 days required at time of start
• Skills required: fetal heart monitoring, high-risk pregnancy monitoring, vaginal deliveries, C-section circulation, sterile vaginal exams, and assisting with deliveries
• Must provide 2 professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
