Job Opportunity – Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Mission Viejo, CA 92691

Start Date: June 30, 2026

Location: Mission Viejo, California

Schedule: Day shift with variable start times between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM. Choice of 4x10-hour or 5x8-hour shifts. Includes rotating weekend coverage and on-call responsibilities (evenings and weekends, 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM). Call expectations will be reviewed during interview based on experience level.

Highlights:

• Work in a 426-bed Magnet-designated acute care facility with a 4-room Nuclear Medicine department (3 NM rooms, 1 PET/CT)
• Reduced non-billable orientation of 0 hours versus standard 40-hour orientation
• Average patient volume: 6-7 PET/CT scans daily and 9 general nuclear medicine studies per day including cardiac, bone scans, renal, V/Q, parathyroid, and more
• Comprehensive patient population including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Epic electronic health record system utilized
• Free parking provided

Requirements:

• Active California Nuclear Medicine Technologist license
• ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification required
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience; 6 months of PET/CT experience strongly preferred
• First-time travelers accepted with 2+ years of experience
• Epic and Siemens equipment experience highly preferred (facility uses Siemens Symbia SPECT/CT, Siemens Symbia, and Siemens Biograph Horizon PET/CT)
• Proficiency in CT attenuation correction techniques
• LA fire card within the last 30 days required at time of hire
• Must be willing to float between Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT as needed
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
