Job Opportunity – Occupational Therapist – Walla Walla, WA 99362

Start Date: June 29, 2026

Location: Walla Walla, WA

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-Hour (07:00 - 15:00), 40 hours per week. Weekend rotation required (1 weekend every 4 weeks). Expected patient load of 8-9 patients per day. No on-call required.

Highlights:

  • 13-week assignment at a 104-bed Short Term Acute Care facility with Level III Trauma Center designation
  • Reduced non-billable orientation with zero hours versus standard 40-hour orientation
  • Work with diverse patient diagnoses including multi-trauma, TBI, SCI, CVA, orthopedic, and neurological conditions
  • Float between acute care, medical, ICU, and 8-bed inpatient rehab facility units
  • Epic charting system utilized throughout facility
  • Complimentary parking and flexible scrub color policy

Requirements:

  • Valid Washington state Occupational Therapy license required at time of submission
  • Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required (hard stop requirement)
  • Inpatient rehabilitation experience strongly preferred
  • Epic charting system experience preferred
  • Skills required: acute care disorder assessment, chronic disorder management, functional activities, and functional/static splinting techniques
  • Must be self-driven, demonstrate strong time management, and work collaboratively with team members
  • Ability to independently evaluate and treat patients across all hospital areas including ICU, medical, surgical, and inpatient rehab units
  • 2 professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
