Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Neuro ICU – Tyler, TX 75701

Start Date: June 29, 2026

Location: Tyler, Texas

Schedule: 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:00). Patient ratio of 2:1. Weekend coverage required (half of contract weekends). Float to ICU/IMC/Tele units as needed. One pre-approved time off period available.

Highlights:

• 13-week travel assignment in a specialized Neuro ICU with 16-bed capacity
• Work with advanced neurological cases including CVA/stroke, traumatic brain injury, post-craniotomy, and spinal cord injury patients
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and phlebotomy
• Epic charting system with 36 hours of orientation
• Care for adult patient population with exposure to ventilated patients and critical neuro procedures
• Experience with specialized equipment including external ventricular drains, ICP monitoring, hypothermia protocol, and lumbar drains

Requirements:

• Active RN license (state or compact) required at time of submittal
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of experience preferred
• Neuro ICU experience required
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Trauma Level I or Level II experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Skills required: blood product administration, ventilated patient care, central line management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, EVD care, ICP monitoring, and post-neurosurgery management
• Candidates must not reside in the following Texas counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris
