Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Neuro ICU – Tyler, TX 75701

Start Date: July 27, 2026

Location: Tyler, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Patient ratio of 2:1. Weekend coverage required approximately half of the contract period. Float to ICU/IMC/Telemetry as needed.

Highlights:

• 91-day travel assignment in a Neuro ICU specializing in critical neurological care
• Work with a 16-bed unit serving adult patients with an average daily census of 14
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, radiology, and rapid response teams
• Epic charting system experience required
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• One pre-approved time off period available

Requirements:

• Active RN license (state or compact) must be in hand at time of submission
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required
• Previous travel experience required
• Skills required: blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line management, CVA/acute stroke management, external ventricular drain (EVD), hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, ICP monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, lumbar drains, post-craniotomy care, post-neurosurgery management, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury
• Community hospital and trauma center experience preferred
• Candidates residing in the following Texas counties are not eligible: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris
