Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Operating Room – Orange, CA 92868

Start Date: June 30, 2026

Location: Orange County, California

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour (06:30 - 15:00), primarily Monday through Friday with rotating weekends. Self-scheduling system with 6-week rotations. Call required: minimum 3 shifts per 6-week schedule (1 weekend shift included). Post-shift call Monday-Friday 22:30-06:30; weekend call 12-hour shifts either 06:30-18:30 or 18:30-06:30. Patient ratio 1:1. Daily volume approximately 40 cases across 16 operating rooms.

  • 426-bed acute care Magnet-designated hospital serving adult and geriatric populations
  • Comprehensive surgical services including orthopedics, neurosurgery, and advanced robotics (Da Vinci Xi and SP systems, Mako)
  • Epic charting system with full interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and lift teams
  • Both circulating and scrubbing opportunities in high-volume, non-trauma surgical environment
  • Free parking and provided surgical attire
  • 91-day contract with 40 hours of orientation

Requirements:

  • Active California RN license (must be in hand prior to start)
  • Minimum 2 years of operating room experience required
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications required; CNOR preferred
  • Experience in orthopedics, neurosurgery, and robotics required (may consider candidates with 2 of 3 specialties)
  • Prior travel nursing experience and Epic charting experience required
  • LA County Fire Life Safety card obtained within 30 days prior to start
  • Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
  • Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility may be subject to local rates
