Job Opportunity – Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Orange, CA 92868

Start Date: June 30, 2026

Location: Orange County, Southern California

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5x8-hour shifts (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM). No weekends or holidays required. Optional call shifts available for interested candidates (Monday-Friday 4:30 AM - 10:00 PM, Saturday-Sunday 6:00 AM - 10:00 PM with 60-minute response time). Daily census of 5-10 patients with up to 15 PET scans per day.

  • Work at a 426-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital with state-of-the-art nuclear medicine technology
  • Perform general nuclear medicine studies, Lexi scans, and PET/CT imaging (non-diagnostic)
  • Training provided for PET scan procedures; prior PET experience preferred but not required
  • Reduced orientation period with comprehensive on-site support
  • No weekend or holiday coverage required; optional call shifts available for additional opportunities
  • Free parking and supportive interdisciplinary team including interpretation services

Requirements:

  • Valid California State license (must be in hand prior to start)
  • NMTCB or ARRT (N) certification required
  • BLS certification current
  • Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience required
  • Prior travel healthcare experience required; candidates with at least 2 years of experience will be considered
  • Experience with general nuclear medicine procedures including bone, renal, liver, cardiac, and whole body scans
  • Proficiency in starting and maintaining IVs
  • Epic charting system experience preferred
  • Cardiac nuclear medicine experience strongly preferred, especially for those interested in optional call shifts
  • Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
