Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Orange, CA 92868

Start Date: June 30, 2026

Location: Orange County, California

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Patient ratio of 1-2 patients. Weekends may exceed every other weekend to accommodate unit needs. Orientation includes 72 hours of training.

Highlights:

  • Work in a 426-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital
  • High-acuity Labor and Delivery unit caring for complex pregnancy diagnoses including pre-eclampsia, preterm labor, multiples, and fetal anomalies
  • Utilize Epic charting system in a collaborative environment with extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
  • Free parking provided
  • Opportunity to work with a seasoned, experienced team in a very high-risk perinatal setting

Requirements:

  • Active California RN license (must be in hand prior to submission)
  • Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
  • BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications required; AWHONN Advanced preferred (NCC EFM certification accepted in place of Intermediate AWHONN)
  • Must be able to circulate for cesarean sections
  • Must be able to perform sterile vaginal exams
  • Experience in large hospital settings highly preferred
  • Skills must include: antihypertensives, assisting with high-risk and vaginal deliveries, cervical cerclage, circulating for C-sections, D&C procedures, high-risk antepartum care, insulin drips, magnesium sulfate therapy, recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, and use of external fetal monitoring
  • LA fire card within the last 30 days required
  • 2 professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
