Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / CVOR – Santa Monica, CA 90404

Start Date: June 29, 2026

Location: Beachside acute care hospital in Santa Monica, California

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour (06:00 - 14:30), block scheduling available per manager discretion. Weekend coverage required (up to 2 shifts per month). On-call requirements include 2 primary weekday calls (22:30-06:00), 2 secondary weekday calls, 2 primary weekend calls (12-hour shifts), and 2 secondary weekend calls per 6-week cycle. Must be flexible with call schedule based on department needs.

• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretaries
• Varied case mix including TAVR procedures (approximately 3 per week), general, ortho, spine, and robotic cases
• 1:1 patient ratio across all shifts (days, nights, weekends)
• 36-hour paid orientation period
• May float to main OR when cardiac volume is low, providing diverse clinical experience

Requirements:

• Active California RN license (must be in hand prior to submission)
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
• Previous charge experience required
• Trauma Level I or Level II experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• BCLS certification required
• Epic charting experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Experience with general, ortho, spine, or robotic cases helpful
• LA fire card within the last 30 days required
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
