Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Cardiac Telemetry – Tyler, TX 75701

Start Date: July 13, 2026

Location: Tyler, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Patient ratio 1:5-6. Weekend coverage required for approximately half of the contract.

Highlights:

• 36-bed telemetry unit specializing in medical cardiac care and post-cardiac intervention patients
• Patient population includes cardiac surgery recovery, post-coronary stent placement, pacemaker implants, and stable non-procedural cardiac patients
• All private rooms with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Epic charting system with onsite orientation provided
• 91-day travel assignment in East Texas

Requirements:

• Active RN license (state or compact license must be in hand at time of application)
• Minimum 2 years of registered nursing experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia management, post-cardiac procedures, and 1:6 patient ratios
• Proficiency in vasoactive drip management, arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP, wound care, and accessing/managing ports
• Candidates must not reside in the following Texas counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris
