Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / NICU – Apple Valley, CA 92307
Start Date: June 30, 2026
Location: Southern California
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-Hour (18:00 - 06:30); Every other weekend, may exceed to meet unit needs; Float opportunities to Mother/Baby for babies; Guaranteed hours with facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
Highlights:
- Level III NICU with 14 beds serving approximately 190 births per month
- Acute care hospital with 212 total staffed beds utilizing Epic charting system
- Patient ratios staffed by acuity, up to 1:3; care for neonates 29-34+ weeks
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and social services
- Serve diverse patient population with conditions including prematurity, RDS, NAS, sepsis, and hypoglycemia

Requirements:
- Active California RN license required prior to start
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 year in Level III NICU specialty required
- Current certifications: BLS, NRP Advanced (will accept NRP if willing to obtain advanced before start date), PALS
- Epic charting experience required
- Community hospital and travel nursing experience required
- LA fire card within the last 30 days required
- Patient ratio experience of 2-3 patients
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years

You'll gain valuable experience with advanced neonatal procedures including central line management, ventilator management, oscillators, and administration of vasopressors. The assignment includes 36-40 hours of paid orientation and the flexibility to request time off at submission, with approval based on facility needs. All time off requests must be submitted upfront to ensure optimal scheduling coordination.
