Job Opportunity – OB Surgical Technologist – Portland, OR 97213
Start Date: July 13, 2026
Location: Portland, Oregon metropolitan area
Schedule: Part-time position, 24 hours per week, consisting of two 12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:00). Weekend requirements include every third weekend rotation. On-call shifts available on scheduled days for both day and night coverage. Assignment duration is 91 days (approximately 13 weeks).

- Work in a 418-bed short-term acute care facility with 43 obstetric rooms
- Opportunity to scrub OB surgical cases including C-sections, vaginal hysterectomies, and laparoscopic gynecological procedures
- Training provided for scheduling and admitting OB patients; willingness to learn secretarial skills is valued

- Epic charting system utilized throughout facility

Requirements:
- Current NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) certification required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of surgical tech experience
- Oregon state license required (may submit with license pending)
- Epic charting system experience preferred
- Proficiency in OB surgical procedures including abdominal hysterectomy, C-sections, bilateral tubal ligation, D&C, and laparoscopic gynecological procedures
- Experience with sterilization and disinfection protocols
- Reliable transportation required for this assignment
- Must reside outside 50-mile radius from facility
