Job Opportunity – Physical Therapist, Acute Care – Lubbock, TX 79410

Start Date: July 13, 2026

Location: Lubbock, Texas

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (08:00 - 17:00), with flexible option for 10-hour shifts. No on-call, no weekends, no floating between units required. 1:1 patient ratio.

Highlights:

  • Reduced orientation period of only 8 hours (0 hours non-billable orientation versus standard 40 hours)
  • 379-bed short-term acute care facility with Level II Trauma Center designation
  • Work with diverse patient populations including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
  • Epic charting system experience required

  • 13-week assignment (91 days) with potential for extension after 3-month break

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of acute care physical therapy experience required
  • Active Texas state license or compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Epic charting system proficiency required
  • Experience with orthopedics, neurology, gait training, post-operative care, and rehabilitation
  • Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
  • Ability to work 3 of 5 major holidays during assignment period
  • Clean background check required
