Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technologist – Lubbock, TX 79410

Start Date: July 13, 2026

Location: Lubbock, Texas

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (06:45 - 15:00). On-call required for nights, weekends, and holidays. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).

  • Level II Trauma Center with 379 staffed beds providing advanced cardiovascular surgical care
  • 91-day travel assignment at a Short Term Acute Care facility
  • 22 operating rooms supporting a comprehensive cardiovascular surgery program
  • Reduced orientation period of only 8 hours vs. standard 40-hour orientation
  • Patient ratio of 1:3 in a collaborative surgical environment
  • Free employee parking in designated surface lots

Requirements:

  • Current BLS, CST, and NBSTSA certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of consecutive experience in cardiovascular surgery required
  • Recent cardiothoracic and vascular experience mandatory; must have CV case experience within the last 3 months
  • Ability to scrub independently on heart valve and open heart procedures required
  • Previous travel healthcare experience required
  • Valid compact state license must be in hand at time of submission
  • Level II Trauma Center experience required; Level I Trauma experience preferred
  • Epic charting system experience preferred
  • Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
  • Must be located outside 50-mile local radius
