Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Orange, CA 92868

Start Date: July 14, 2026

Location: Orange County, California

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Patient ratios of 1-2 patients. Weekend coverage may exceed every other weekend to accommodate unit needs. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).

• Very high-risk Labor and Delivery unit caring for all pregnancy diagnoses including preterm labor, pre-eclampsia/eclampsia, multiples, fetal anomalies, and IUFD
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• 72-hour paid orientation period

Requirements:

• Active California RN license (must be in hand prior to submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required (no first-time travelers accepted)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate (NCC EFM certification accepted in lieu of AWHONN Intermediate); AWHONN Advanced preferred
• Must be able to circulate for cesarean sections
• Must be able to perform sterile vaginal exams
• Experience in large hospital settings highly preferred
• Required skills include: antihypertensives, assisting with high-risk and vaginal deliveries, cervical cerclage, circulating for C-sections, D&C procedures, high-risk antepartum care, insulin drips, magnesium sulfate therapy, recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, and use of external fetal monitoring
• LA fire card required within 30 days of start
• Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
