Description
Job Opportunity – Physical Therapist, Acute Care – Portland, OR 97225
Start Date: July 13, 2026
Location: Portland, Oregon
Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (08:00 - 16:00). Weekend coverage required approximately 3-4 days per month (roughly one weekend day per week). Block scheduling required. Contract duration: 91 days (approximately 13 weeks).
Highlights:
- Short-term acute care teaching hospital with 536 total staffed beds and daily census of approximately 180 patients
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, radiology, and social services
- Epic charting system utilized throughout the facility
- Adult patient population in an acute care setting
- Floating between units within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities may be required
- Free parking provided on-site
Requirements:
- Active Oregon Physical Therapy license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
- BLS certification required
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Trauma Level I or Level II experience preferred
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
- Reliable personal vehicle required for this assignment
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
