Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical – Pocatello, ID 83201

Start Date: July 6, 2026

Location: Pocatello, Idaho

Schedule: 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:00). Weekend coverage required (2 shifts per pay period, flexible with departmental needs). Float to other units as needed based on competencies.

Highlights:

• 48-bed medical surgical unit with 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratios across all shifts
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
• Diverse patient population managing conditions including sepsis, COPD, trauma, cardiac conditions, respiratory failure, post-operative care, and diabetes
• 13-week assignment with 24-36 hours of orientation to ensure successful onboarding
• Opportunity to work with adult and geriatric patient populations in a dynamic acute care environment

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (Idaho state or Compact license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience
• Travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Experience with 1:6 patient ratios
• Epic charting system experience required
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Must reside outside 100-mile radius from the location
