Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Labor and Delivery – Santa Monica, CA 90404

Start Date: July 20, 2026

Location: Beachside acute care hospital in Santa Monica, California

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00), every other weekend required. May float to postpartum as needed. Facility performs approximately 200 deliveries per month with 9 labor/high-risk rooms, 4 antepartum rooms, and 3 triage rooms.

• Comprehensive labor and delivery experience including antepartum, intrapartum, vaginal deliveries, and circulating for cesarean sections
• No on-call requirement
• Epic charting system
• 40 hours of orientation provided
• Interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy

Requirements:

• Active California RN license (must be in hand prior to submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP, Fetal Heart Monitoring, and either AWHONN Advanced or NCC EFM
• Epic charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• LA fire card within the last 30 days required
• Skills: Assist with vaginal delivery, circulate for C-section, high-risk antepartum care, sterile vaginal exam; ability to scrub for C-section is a bonus
• Must be comfortable working in an environment that serves high-profile patients requiring strict privacy protocols
