Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Progressive Care Unit – Anchorage, AK 99508

Start Date: July 20, 2026

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12 or 4x12-hour shifts (07:00 PM - 07:30 AM), traveler's choice. Weekend coverage required based on staffing needs. 60 guaranteed hours per two-week period.

Manageable 1:4 patient ratio in a 36-bed stepdown unit serving diverse patient populations
Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and lift teams
Free parking and Epic charting system in a 407-bed acute care hospital
Diverse case mix including cardiac (30%), respiratory, neuro overflow, renal, and complex medical-surgical patients

Requirements:

Active Alaska RN license in hand prior to offer
Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Epic charting experience required
1:4 patient ratio experience
Hepatitis B vaccine (titers or declination not accepted)
Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates accepted)
Willingness to float to lower acuity units, renal care, neuro, and medical-surgical units
Availability to work two of three major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
