Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Outpatient Infusion – Eureka, CA 95501

Start Date: July 13, 2026

Location: Northern California coastal region

Schedule: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (08:00 - 18:00), with potential weekend coverage. Unit serves approximately 32 patient visits per day with a 3-room, 6-bed infusion center. Patient ratio is approximately 1:15. Assignment duration is 91 days with 40 hours of orientation.

Highlights:

• Outpatient ambulatory infusion program focused on non-chemotherapy infusions including biologics, immunotherapy, antibiotics, antivirals, iron infusions, and blood transfusions
• Diverse patient population including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics with diagnoses ranging from autoimmune disorders to infectious disease, oncologic support, and obstetrics
• Interdisciplinary support from IV teams, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretaries
• Epic charting system utilized throughout the facility
• First-time travelers welcome with appropriate outpatient infusion experience
• PICC placement experience or vascular access certification preferred but not required

Requirements:

• Valid California RN license in hand (pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of registered nursing experience
• Current BLS certification required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Skills required: accessing/managing ports, administration of blood and blood products, coagulation factors, antibiotics, antifungals, antivirals, central line care and blood draws, PICC line care, infusion pump management, IV hydration, and starting/maintaining IVs
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Availability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Willingness to float within the health system or to nearby affiliate facilities as needed
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Local candidates within 50-mile radius considered at adjusted terms
