Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Polson, MT 59860

Start Date: July 27, 2026

Location: Northwestern Montana

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Every other weekend required. On-call coverage up to once per pay period with 30-minute callback time. Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:6 depending on acuity and unit needs.

• 13-week travel assignment at a 22-bed critical access hospital
• Comprehensive LDRP role covering labor and delivery, triage, postpartum, and newborn care
• Epic charting system with modern equipment including wireless fetal monitoring
• Interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and interpretation services
• Low daily census environment with approximately 2 patients and 3 available rooms
• 24-hour orientation provided with self-scheduling model

Requirements:

• Valid Montana or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 3 years of recent LDRP experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required; seasoned travelers only
• Current BLS, NRP certifications required; CLC and STABLE preferred
• Proficiency in Epic charting system required
• Skills required: labor and delivery, triage of obstetrical patients, postpartum care, newborn care, sterile vaginal exams, and circulating for C-sections
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Willingness to float between units as needed and work holiday coverage (one summer or one winter holiday pair)
