Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Plainview, TX 79072

Start Date: July 20, 2026

Location: Plainview, Texas

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00). Weekend coverage required as needed with block scheduling. Patient ratio 4:1. 40 hours of orientation provided.

Highlights:

• 91-day assignment at a 49-bed short-term acute care facility with Level IV Trauma Center designation
• Charge nurse responsibilities with minimal department orientation required upon start
• 8-bed emergency department with average daily census of 40 patients
• Serve all patient age groups from neonates through geriatrics in a combined adult/pediatric emergency setting
• Collaborative environment with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and physical therapy

Requirements:

• Active Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department nursing experience
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Experience with 4:1 patient ratios
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC, NIHSS, and PALS
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Proficiency in comprehensive emergency nursing skills including trauma care, critical interventions, triage, and procedural sedation
• Two professional references covering one year of recent experience within the last three years
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
